Pregelatinised Starch as name suggest these are the starches which are hydrolysed and still kept in powder stage. Starch molecule has two portions one gives adhesiveness and another gives viscosity.
For making pregelatinised starches starch are treated with a series of chemical so as to maintain a balance of above two portions of starch molecules without heating.

Pregelatinised starches are actually can be called as adhesive starch granule. One part of pregelatinised starch can absorb 15 parts of water and give a reasonable tacky liquid.
